Higher National Diploma In Business (All Pathways)
HND is a Level 5 qualification equivalent to the second year of a UK bachelor's degree. There is an embedded Level 4 exit qualification in the HNC.

Course Modules
The programme spans two years. Year 1 delivers the HNC (Level 4) and Year 2 completes the full HND (Level 5). A minimum of 16 modules are completed across both years.

Applicants must meet one of the following academic criteria. Each application is assessed individually by our admissions team.
Academic Requirements
- A-level pass or equivalent qualification
- BTEC Level 3 in business
- Related Level 3 qualifications
- Access to Higher Education Certificate
- Related work experience (considered on individual merit)
English Language Requirement
- IELTS 5.5 overall — reading and writing must be at 5.5
- Equivalent demonstrated English proficiency accepted
- Alternative assessments considered for non-IELTS applicants

Teaching, Learning & Assessment
21 hours of weekly attendance during term-time, plus 8–10 hours of recommended home study per week.
Teaching Methods
Assessment
All units are individually graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction. Assessment is mostly assignment-based, internally marked with external verification by Edexcel.
